According to the test results of the Department of Telecommunications, Viettel's 4G speed is the best in Vietnam. This promises to significantly improve the quality of users' Internet access.

Test results in 4 cities and provinces including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, and Hung Yen in June and July, show that Viettel's 4G network is better than the standard in all data download speed parameters compared to the standard. with other carriers.

Specifically, the average data download speed of Viettel in Hanoi and Hai Phong is more than 70 Mbit/s and up to more than 90 Mbit/s in Hai Duong and Hung Yen. The average data upload speed of the carriers in these localities is also recorded at 30-35 Mbit/s. These are the two most important criteria to show the quality of Internet access services on 4G networks.

In other indicators such as radio network availability, service success rate, delay time, dropped data transmission rate, etc., the test data of the Department of Telecommunications also shows that Viettel ensures ensure compliance with regulations. Actual results are better than the requirements of the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Viettel is currently the largest 4G network in Vietnam with 40,000 BTS stations covering the whole country. To meet the data growth trend, this year, Viettel will add 5,000 new 4G stations, shifting the maximum frequency resources used for 3G networks to serving 4G networks.

The telecommunications brand's technical team has also researched and successfully implemented an integrated solution, transmitting data simultaneously on multiple frequencies, helping to increase 4G speed by more than 50%.

According to Viettel's data, 4G data traffic in the first 6 months of this year increased more than 2 times compared to the first 6 months of 2019. This traffic increased sharply during the Covid-19 epidemic period due to the demand for Internet access for studying, working, entertaining, updating news, sharing photos, video clips… became popular.

In the first quarter of 2020, the Internet access quality measurement system under the Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC - Ministry of Information and Communications) has obtained nearly 30,000 user measurement samples, originating from 69 networks. Statistics for mobile networks show that Viettel's 3G and 4G networks have the highest average download/upload speeds (41.45 Mbps/32.70 Mbps).
